Default Brass work - scale louvers, anyone here done it?

I came across this for 1:8 scale trains
http://www.discoverlivesteam.com/magazine/25/25.html
Just wondering if anyone has made their own real louvers on a smaller scale.
Couple panels I'd like to make with some louvers in 1:20, and perhaps 1:10.

Please do!
I imagine the 1:20 would be fairly easy, in that for material thickness you wouldn't need a press, but I'd definitley like to dabble.
