The Losi uses a TVP chassis, for starters.

I do like the "looks real, looks like something you'd see on the highway/trail" definition. Although 1.9 tubers are pretty cool

I agree with the "Will I see something like this in real life" way to look at it. I mean, you don't see trucks with chassis that look like the stock Axial one right?

In this very line of conversation, I very much agree with the 'looks like something you would see on the road' premise. It makes me wonder though, why the riule as it is says you must run doors and a tailgate. Many Jeep owners buy mirror relocation brackets so they can run 'door free' and many pickup owners don't run a tailgate. What if in place of doors on some rigs, people put on 'tube doors' or run a tailgate net instead of a tailgate...is that acceptable?

Valid points. We could adjust the rules wording or simply restate it as such:
"if no doors are run, then an interior must be in place."

The tailgate issue could be waived altogether, since most beds are going to be some what complete anyhow.

NOSTR has a good set of rules, can some one post up the NOSTR 1.9 rules.

They're still evolving, but here's what we're using now:

Scale Class Requirements:

1.9” Class – Modeled after typical street legal off-road vehicles
• Chassis must be OEM stock or custom ladder style that must extend over the axles. OEM
suspension may be modified in any way. Construction material is not restricted.
• Tires are restricted to OEM 1.9” size. If the tires are cut down 2.2’s the they must fit onto a
standard 1.9” rim and not exceed 4.25” in height 1.75” in width. Flywheels brand wheels and tires
and 1/18 scale Nylint brand wheels and tires will be allowed.
• Must run a complete body, bumpers, fenders, doors & tailgates must be intact. Some fender
trimming is allowed but the basic shape must be retained. A shortened or lengthened body is
allowable. A tubed bed must have a functional bed area capable of carrying a full-size spare laid
flat (rear fender and tailgate rules to not apply to tubed beds).
• No 4 wheel steer.
• No axle “dig”
• Wheelbase and width is limited only by your body, but it must fit within the body’s fender wells.
• Vehicles must be “run what ya brung.”
• Battery must be placed on or within the chassis.

Agreed. If you have the door removed you need to have a finished interior to complete the look, without it the look is garbage.

I'll try and translate the NORCC rules and post them here.

I like the idea of having a maximum score for scale accessories, hopefully this would keep people from piling everything in the world on their rig just for points.

Agreed! I know some rigs don't need doors, and may look better without them, but I don't want a drop top Jeep with no doors and an AX-10 tranny where the console and seats should be either!

I'm going to clean out some of NOSTR rules so that we don't get confused and jump around.

It basically means you can not change anything about the truck before the comp. If show up with mud slingers but want to run trail docs; to late.
