Yes the round headlights definitely look happier than the square ones! I think the mixup of the more recent grille with the round lights looks ok, Inwas lucky the lenses I had fit directly in there!

I cleaned up the electronics install and body mounting a bit, so no more duct tape holding everything. I’ll snap some pics tonight!

Few pics of the chassis cleaning I started, got rid of most duct tape , placed ESC at the back and receiver box hot glued to the side. Now that's replacing a crappy mounting method by another almost as crappy lol but it is better than it was hahaha

And the magnets I hot glued to the body they slide outside of the chassis rails, seems to be enough to hold the body in place!

Here the body is pulled off, I made a slot so the chassis hump slides inside of the bed. It helps lateral location of the body and locks in better. Also the drop bed mod has an additional styrene sheet so I did not have to go through the bed completely, the bed looks ugly from under, but intact from the top.

Also I painted the windscreen and rear glass trim black as well as the small vents in the doors. I used flat black, I think it looks a bit weird, maybe I'll redo them semi flat instead, or weather them a bit:

Also while working at a customer's place that does thermoforming and CNCing of plastic stuff I found about 3/4 of a 4'x8' sheet of black Sintra, cost me all of 32$! I was looking for Komacel but I think it is similar? It is black but it'll do just fine I also bought a bottle of Gorilla Glue Gel (heard it works best for Sintra) and got started on a floor! First ever attempt at building anything plastic from scratch really

Oh and also I installed a rear bumper, I had this in the parts bin modded a bit to fit. Better than no bumper me thinks!

That's awesome Fred...tires look super scale. Articulation looks perfect for a leaf suspension. Any plans for a detailed interior?

Thank you Willezcr8! I really like these wheels and tires too, they tuck in nicely and do not rub at all, anything bigger and it slightly rubs the front fender when turning. But I have just broken one of the wheels... They are SDI wheels with integrated pin slot so they don't need an hex, it allows for a lower offset (wheel more inwards, so actually higher offset if you talk actual 1:1 offset! lol) The tires are Scale Doctor (by SDI too). The fact they don't use an hex makes them more fragile since the center is thinner, and the wheel nut pushes the pin into the plastic wheel.

Yes I do plan on an interior, I started with the floor to practice a bit working with Sintra. Once I have a floor I'll try a dash, seats and door cards. I made my first dash ever in the Escort thread Thing is I only have one shape of sintra, 1/8 sheet. So I have to do everything with the same material, no tube, no squares, no thinner sheet. Thanks for looking, and wish you a Happy 2020!
