I know you lack air cleaner space when hood is shut.

Idea though for a finished look and should be a very simple addition with your skills.

Make a card for inner hood reinforce detail.
You could cheat and make a circle recess for the air cleaner spot..Like on some cowl induction hoods. Most would think it's stock.

Let me know if that would work.
One more idea if it wont.
Make a stencin and maybe paint the looks of reinforcement ...…
And some body filler or thin styrene to plug around the magnet on the snoot opening.

EDIT: I found a great picture. Of the inner details that should work.

Funny that you should mention this...lol... I dug this out a couple days ago and trimmed it up some more for fitment. Sides and back is good but will have to cut out the air cleaner area...still need to figure how I’m gonna go about finding the correct area to cut. I may make a hood out of some clear styrene that I have and just mark the area with a sharpie .... lol... now I’m thinking maybe cast a buck of the hood and get it vacuum formed in clear styrene to show off the engine bay...

Anywho... here’s some pics of that piece I did a few years ago that I had stashed away...lol..

Another small ......slowly getting there..

Got the door cards sorted...and installed..so it all fits together now got some badges I have to put on the dash, window winders for the door cards and a shifter for the center console.
Started working on the rear Shaggin’ interior, figured out how I’m making it removeable...so whenever I want it to look stock, I can easily pull the whole flooring with seats out, then the wall panels and the roof liner. Also chromed the pole...lol...was too lazy to paint it, so I used some bare metal foil I had on it...looks okay, but I will eventually paint another pole to replace it.
Hoping to get some more done tomorrow...need to make some exterior door handles and a door mirror, get ‘em installed and then start looking at the Sandman decals

Anywho...some pics... watcha think?

These last pics are over the top material Preston! I think this is crazy nice, once everything is back together like this, this is exceptional.

At some point in the pics Inwas wondering if you had installed lighting but it was outside lights actually. Did you think about installing lighting? Blacklight in the rear would be awesome lol or just some light pods in the top maybe. It would look best with flood light, not spot like most led light does though.

Anyways, props to you buddy this is lookin awesome, keep it going and put some lenses in these light buckets already! Lol!

Hey thanks Fred !

I like the idea of lighting for the rear...but don’t want to have to be trying to find ways of hiding wiring and switches...certainly not something I want to do at this stage lol... however if I could find a self contained unit with battery and switch or even a remote switch, as long as it is small enough and unobtrusive, I’ll do it! Open to any suggestions to where I can find something like that!

Lol...I keep forgetting the lenses...and then after I take pics and post them up, den baby blues are looking straight at me...
