![]() I've recently installed both a 27T and a 55T motor in my scale crawler, the result being one is too fast and the other is too slow. Therefore, instead of messing about, and also because I like to mess about, I was wondering if there was any info out there about rewinding factory produced 540 brushed motors.
I want to experiment with that mid-point at around 35-45 turns so are there any guides about wire selection, winding methods etc? Cheers, Tom. |

![]() If you search youtube for "rewinding a 12v motor" it pops up with bunch of vids but I cant point you to any particular one. I rewound one maybe 15 years ago following a manual on rewinding a cars starter lol.
Off topic but you wouldnt happen to live in Iceland would you? Theres a guy with same SN on my one other forum. |

![]() I have tried to wind my own motors, but with very little luck. I have had good luck purchasing motors off sites like goldmine-elec-products.com for $2-6 each. I just keep a small stock at the house and pick what I need. I am lucky as I do have a motor dyno setup that I can use to compare specs.
