hehehe... no one even noticed how the front now runs 12mm hex drive wheels instead of fixed axles with bearings in the wheels...

well I used a set of traxxas steering knuckles... slightly trimmed to fit. worked out very well! and I'm keeping the single control arms on the front for now... if I'm not happy with the performance I'll redo it later and add full independent with long travel arms.

So do you think you will be able to get all the bump steer out of that hornet/grasshopper front end?

this is working out better than planned the rear suspension is all sorted out now and working smoothly. all that remains is shock mounting but I already know how I'll do it. monday the tube frame materials will be here then the fun begins.

KC, it looks awesome so far.
What did you make the rear trailing arms from?

If this is the same caliber as your camaro this is gonna be an unbelievable build.

Heck yeah! I can really see this one coming together well! Good luck with it man! You said something about doing some tubing work as well?

the trailing arms are just 1/4 thick aluminum... and it will be coming together much faster after the materials for the tubework gets here tomorrow. yes tubework... a front bumper with light cage, full interior roll cage, rear tubework with spare tire mounts, a roof mounted light cage, and rear bumper.
