body cut, but not yet mounted. I was going to use Epic wheels, but i didn't like the way they looked so picked up a set of Revolvers.....i could do better, but I'm broke and they are cheap, so that's what I'm sticking with.

2 issues with the wheels - i have to cut off the inside bead to better fit the tires as well as clear the front steering knuckle. That's no problem. The second is that they are real thick in the steering hex - so thick that i cannot get wheel nuts on the axle. No idea why, seems like a bad design to me. I'll have to drill them down or find some barrel nuts.

Couple pics with the body and wheels on. the fronts will tuck better once i do some trimming. the backs fit perfect, and i like that the deeper dish wheels are in the back.

oh, and the 2wd custom chassis is coming along well also.

took the plunge last night and cut out the back of the pro-line body...no more molded in "shocks!" started building some cagework...nothing too crazy, just enough to make the back of the body look a little more realistic than that plastic garbage.

oh, and i know....

They're coming!

Associated battery boxes - they work great - $5.79 /pair

Tower has them, not sure where else to find them. They must still be in production, I bought the last 5 sets about 4 months ago and they are back in stock. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LX2778&P=7

Both of those are SICK, your 2WD chassis looks a lot better than the one I made .

thanks man, i might have to give a little love to the 2wd chassis...it's been raining for weeks and is supposed to continue right through the weekend, so indoor brazing is out for the 4wd body (too many fumes!) I can cut up and polish some more parts though...

Not at the moment, in fact looking to pick up a second set so i can have 2 sets of BL's with different offsets. I don't have a wheel that clears my AX10 shock set-up, the fronts look like they'll work, but i only have 1 pair.

PL just came out with "new and improved" BL's, but they only fit the goofy size stock Slayer/Slash tire. I think the epics are headed to the discontinued bin.

pic of the cage work, all i got done here really...will have front window bars on the window and it'll help tie thee cage into the body to keep it all solid. With the back cut out, the body is super-flexy.

The 2wd'er is coming along well though, finished off the chassis for the most part and just need to find some steering posts and get rid of the wide-pede set-up and she's a runner. Might trim up some of the blue standoffs, they look a little too square for me. I went a little with the drill, lol - i need to find a better way to machine parts.
