Looking good mate, I see what you mean about the drawings and needing some modifications, started redrawing them on autocad in 1/6 scale so watch for some progress on my thread.

I have some laser cutted parts this one between the ladder frame and the backbone tube. They are 3mm stainless steel.

First: thanks for the rubbers!

The weight of the completed gearbox (with an uncutted 800mm long driveshaft) is 740g. My gearbox is a little bit wider and longer than the original.

Laser cutted steel steering links. This parts will sitting on the central tube.
They are 6mm steel, and there is 2-2pc 12x6x3mm bearings inside.

With this toothpicks, you can easily imagine how the steering works. I use ball bearings everywhere.

This baby is the steering servo. It can 33kg/cm on 6V and 40kg/cm on 7,2V.
Came from HK. Cheap, heavy, but I hope that have enough power. A serious Tatra builder, Pedrissimo use a servo with a 3:1 gear reducing. His steering has 90kg/cm..

18Kg.. I think its too heavy, the tire foams can't works with this weight. I'm using alloy and some plastic parts to reducing the weight. And my cab will be made of stirol too.
