Default what is this? miscellaneous electronics

can anybody tell me what this is? it was just in shrink wrap with no label. it was between the receiver and brushless speed control for a hydraulic pump. left side under my thumb is the servo wires and battery in, the right side is battery out which went to some circuit board that looked like a servo driver, which then went to the speed controller through a standard servo lead. i tried pushing the button, nothing happened.

only thing i can think of is it's a servo channel controlled digital switch. i don't know why i can;t just reconnect the speed controller right to the receiver and set it up on a 3 position switch for off, low, high.

It's a winch controller. Turns the pump on, forward/reverse, from the transmitter.

thanks for the info.

don't know why it won't even light up, so got rid of everything and ran the pump to the receiver. i'll use a rotary knob to control the speed or add mixes in so the pump won't turn on unless the hydro channels are moved
