well it's copper mesh...not plated...but I just painted it black along with my bullbar. my roll bar and bullbar hoop material didn't arrive today as planned so I went ahead and made the main bumper. the rest of the materials should arrive tomorrow...I hope

oh yea, Jugg I made the headlight trim out of sheet styrene and the parking lights are out of my model car parts stock...I believe they are 1/8 scale motorcycle turn signal lenses...they looked right so I used them.

and I can't lower the light cover because the headlight lens isn't big enough...as I stated earlier I'm not going for 100% accuracy...I'm just going for the modified landrover "look" and I think I'm starting to achieve that.

here's my bumper so far...does it look too narrow or is it ok?

It looks like it sticks out a bit too much, but maybe only because of the angle of the pic. Nice bumper though! What is it made of?

sticks out too far? its a bullbar type bumper...it will have a winch inside it. I meant does it look too narrow? and its made of aluminum.

EDIT:well I thought it looked too narrow...so after a little fiberglass and resin...it's wider!!! much better now!!

when I finish sanding and painting it will look much better...

and here is what I'm going for...the blue hole is where the roller fairlead will be for the winch...

I cut the body so I could move the bumper up a little higher...

That looks much better! After you widened it, it did look to narrow! Should look killer with the brushguard on it!
