Thanks. Ya, There's gunna be a fuel cell back there and of coarse fans. My metal fuel cell attempt failed. My brazing on the pepper can concept warped it all ugly. I think I may try my luck with styrene. That'll be later. Anyway....

Got the steering servo figured out. Need to re drill some holes though. Also set up the drivers seat. Right now it locks in with one screw.

So at this point I was able to give it a test run. The 645mg steering lasted about a minute before dying. It's shorting out the whole system. Never had that. More importantly I realized I need to easily access the slipper adjustment....duh. Also geared up from 47/10 to /15. More updates coming soon!!

And here's a little subliminal hint of what's to come

Test ran it the other day and burned out the servo. I opened it up and the transistors on the board got hot and desolder ed themselves. I was able to use another junk servo to make a good one for testing. Also changed up the pinion.

Test # 2 - Holy Cow!!! This thang scoots. Failed to get a video before the front knuckle broke though. Out front I ran it in the street. There's so much power it broke loose, spun around, and flipped over all at once. Then in the back yard it roosted like crazy. Gunna upgrade to NewEra knuckles. In the meantime gotta get started on that fuel cell.

Popped my styrene berry! First time working with styrene but I think I'm getting the hang of it.

The fuel cell holds a rx pack which is recommended by Novak when using 3s and higher on the HV system. It will also be used to run the rear cooling fans when they get put in. Also a pair of styrene Optima batteries will be comeing soon to fill in next to the fuel cell.

Don't worry about that paint mark. Some silver tape will be used to finish off the straps and will cover it. It was painted silver mostly to cover the sides of the straps. Thanks for looking.

Default Optima Batteries

Haven't figured how I'm going to mount them yet but here are a couple Optima batteries I did today. Still need to find and print the logo

Notice my new fangle cutting mat? Now I'm starting to feel like a real scaler.

Ding ding ding. You picked up on that huh? I have a mini servo which will "Y" off the steering channel to turn the wheel/arms and the head will move via a linkage to the main steering servo. I actually can't wait to get to that part either.

Well I was going to make an extra battery to give away but once I got in my groove that was it. Only two were made. I think I gotta pack of crackers though. Lol

The batteries are very cool. I need to stay away from this thread or I'll end up tearing up my slash!

Great to see the progress, truck is looking great!

The cutting mat adds 10 scale points to any picture.
