After presenting my final management project this morning I had an awesome package waiting for me!!

I think some 1.9's would be sweet seeing as how well the 1.55's did.
Would you change up the design or lug bold pattern for the 1.9's?

Keep up the awesome work!
I love all 3 different designs, esp those blanky centerlines...

I was looking for a 1.55 'centerline' style dished rim, and Chris was gracious enough to custom make me these 'blanky' rims (his name for 'em not mine). They are the same basic rim as the 'Super Scale' 1.55's, but they haven't been drilled for the '8 slots' or '10 holes'.
They look really unique, and unlike any other 1.55 I've ever seen. But custom work costs $$.

Now my dilemma is finding a rig to put them on... possibly my long forgotten and unfinished Hilux

My inspiration for the dished 'centerlines'...

He lies! He BEGGED me to call those wheels 'Blankys', 'cause he said it "reminded him of when he would nap as a child with his fuzzy blanky." Pretty weird but whatever!

It's never good for me to have more than 2 choices because people have a tendancy to screw it up & it's not always fixable since I don't stock replacements. So, to offer 3 designs (Including the blankys) would be about it for choices: Offering 6 & 8 bolt patterns means I must make 3 different baseplates also, and that's not gonna happen.

I may do a run of 1.9's, as these were very well received: In the interim, I need to do somethin' so keep an eye out for an Email soon! Chris REC

That childhood story was told to you in confidentiality! But now the world knows

Can't wait for that next REC email!
I guess I'm stuck in suspense like everyone else this time around.

1.9s would be sweet... They'd be even better if they were beadlocks.

Nix on beadlocks for these, sadly- That means twice as much machine work at a minimum, 8 ops per wheelset, plus faceplates plus nuts....They'd cost more than my target by a lot. The last 2-pc. wheels I did, I said never again!

I'd like to only go $10 more on the 1.9's, that'd be $109.99 a complete set for upfront payment (Or $119.99 for deposit payers) which, considering Christmas & all, is as far as I'd wanna go. The Holiday timing on these is all that gives me pause, but it's 75% a go at this point. Only 90 sets will be made if I do 'em, that's about what I think will fly. I did 80 sets of the 1.55's and 1.9 seems more popular, so.........Chris REC

Either way, 1.9 REC wheels would be so killer.

That's actually why I didn't enter. Beautiful wheels, but if not beadlock I don't bother. Also, I figured someone who doesn't mind non-beadlock wheels could enjoy them.

I'm not sure if others are in the same boat, but just putting that out there as a possible reason. At least it was for me.

No matter what I make, some people will like it & some won't (Incredibly!....) I don't blame people for preferring beadlocks, they're just not practical for me to do. Plus. I think they're ugly unless they're on a purpose-built crawler, personally- I try to do stuff you'd see on an 'average' street-legal trail truck, if you see my meaning. Chris REC

I like how RC4wd has made some of their bead lock wheels to lock in the back of the wheel so you don't see the bolts in front

Beadlocks are great, but you can't understand how sexy these wheels are on the computer.

Keep up the great work Chris.
