Default 2020 Dates

The proposal is to continue with same formula as 2019

12 meetings on the last calendar Sunday of the month
8 meetings to be a competitive trials to the 2020 SORRCA scale rules and the LSTR course marking, please see threads for details,
Best 6 result count for the overall season championship, no prizes just bragging rights
4 meetings to be fun days, winch challenge trail drives, silly cars, practice, if you want to run an ambitious day ( amphibious cars!) consider the site and plenty of notice.
following on from the rather frenetic Tamyia Suzuki Jimny thing, we have time and space for other rc vehicle fun at each meeting so keep the ideas coming.

Provisional Calendar dates
January 26th Comp
February 23rd Comp
April 5th fun day
April 26th Comp
May 31st Comp
May 23-24-25 G6 Bracken Rock Matlock confirmed

July 26th Comp
August 30th Comp
September 27th Fun Day
October 10th -11th Scale Nationals provisional date
October 25th Comp
November 29th Comp
December 27th Fun Day

If any of these date clash with a major event, scale Nats or G6 etc.. please flag to the group ASAP.
All locations to be nominally around the M25
Locations to be discussed at the previous meeting and on the forum, pleases allow 2 weeks before the meeting date to propose changes.
Exception is the sudden loss of the site, please check the active thread on the forum the night before. notification of a late change will also appear on facebook page referring back to forum for details.
Please look for suitable sites in and around your location and when traveling, Parking is becoming a challenge as we grow.

All good: thanks for organising Chris. Do we have final standings from last year?

OK Chris you asked for ideas for other types of event: not saying this is a particularly good idea but one I've seen in banger racing is to have a class where the only rule is that if someone offers you a certain amount of money for the car after the event, let's say £100, then you are obliged to sell it to them. The idea is to both help those wanting to give it a go without spending £lots and also to provide a way for people to be creative, compete with cheapo cars & with projects they can't be arsed to finish properly, older ones that are a bit worn etc. I haven't thought about this much but suggest that the £100 (or whatever we decide) would cover the car in normal RTR condition ie include all electrics & radio but not battery or charger. Would still need to look reasonably scale but that might just have to be a subjective view on the day.
Possibly a bad idea but there it is...
