Holy poop! The entire time I've been cruising around this board I thought that was your REAL car. Just spent 45 minutes looking over pics in this thread and the other that you linked to. I like the the pics of it in the other thread that Lionel linked to. Looks lower, rear tires are stuffed under it....too COOL! Outstanding job, this has GOT to be the best scale ride I've ever seen. Incredible attention to detail. WOW

i remember a similar "project" i did in 1978, with an 8th scale Vette kit, "mounted" on the mechanical bits of an "r/c" Cobra II. notice all the quotes. that means it was done by a 14 year old me with no money and very little in the way of a frickin' clue. but it did run, until it fell apart (before the first battery ran out).

the Cobra II was kind of a neat scale r/c car, back in the day. hardbody, an authentic look, shiny chrome, but like the 1:1 Cobra II it was a miserable turd to drive by today's standards.

every once in a while i'm tempted to build a 200mph Escalade using a Wal-Mart car and some other real r/c, but then i'd have a 200mph Escalade. :puke:

awesome work, man :nice:

well the suspension and gearbox are...anyone got a set of rpm's molded suspension arms for the original RC10? stock width. these are getting kinda flimsy with the added weight.
