Default Narrow axles for a Clod body build

I'm planning a leaf spring Clod build on a SCX10 chassis as a lifted street, weekend light trail rig on small 1.55 wheels and tires. I need a set of axles that are readily available and are either already narrow enough or can be narrowed to the width I need and somewhat reasonably priced. I've had stock Axial axles under this body before with smaller tires and it never looked quite right.

How about the SDI axles. They can be made to the exact width you want. Takes a little work to get them there, but in the end, you'll have a set of reasonably scale axles, that can be used with links or leaves.

I had been looking into MST cmx axles for a project and they would probably be pretty decent width for a clod body (they are same width as a cc01 according to OS's build).

I also thought about using a sawback since it uses leafs all around and has pretty decent looking axles though they are a bit wider(still narrower than a scx), maybe just take a roller sawback chassis and all?

OS did have a pic of a clod body on a CMX but photobucket messed that up.

The cmx is nearly perfect for the clod body.

Old school builds used tlt and MRC axles.
Those gave a nice stance.
