Thanks Guys.
I do love this forums and hope we can figure something out.
I'm getting like 5 or more adds to a page too logged in even.
Just changing from a thread back to main page forums kicks it right back to a relog in. ? but still says I'm logged on at my users name on bottom of page.

And . will this post do it ?
Test

@2Beers, Hasn't this been ongoing for some time now? I still say it has to be some security software or the like on your end that's overstepping it's bounds and not allowing cookies to be set properly or something along those lines. No one else keeps getting kicked out, and literally nothing has changed as far as setup on our end in a long time now.

We haven't started any kind of "redirect ad thing" at all. We've never been about asking or "begging" members for money. In fact the site has never been profitable, it wasn't a goal from the start. I've been paying for hosting out of my own pocket for the past several years just to keep the site online. The ads you see pay for less than half of the server bill. Matt and I have turned down offers from companies wanting to buy the forum and turn it into a money machine during that same time frame. I'm glad you all appreciate that though. Anyone that doesn't is welcome to a full refund to their original method of payment. Just ask!

no issues here at all.. keeps me logged in no problem. So thank you to the powers that be that keep this place running!
I do use an ad blocker, but it is turned off for this site, and to be honest I do not see a bunch of ads here..never have.

I kicked Norton Antivirus to the curb many years ago because they were overstepping their bounds and trying to control/get into stuff I did not want them to. Have been using Avast Free for the last several years with no issues. Have used others in the past, but Avast was recommended to me by a computer/network tech friend that I trust. He has done work for some pretty serious heavy hitters over the years, and is still working, so... yeah, the guy knows his stuff.

It sounds to me like your computer needs some serious housekeeping done.. clear cookies, cache, etc.. Run virus and adware scans - and use other programs besides Norton to do this (Norton is not that great at much of anything, tbh, aside from marketing, lol)

If you have any toolbars installed - get rid of them asap! Toolbars are a prime target for viruses and adware. I repeat - Toolbars are BAD! Do Not use them! (more advice from the tech friend)

If I was closer, I would stop over and help you sort this out my friend, but yeah, distance is a bit of an issue..

You know how to reach me directly if you want to talk about it more...

Beers, are you visiting this site as?
http://www.scale4x4rc.org
https://www.scale4x4rc.org
Many browsers now aren't letting you log on / remain logged on through the non-Secured one

Ok keith, i'm not sure what that type of Ad is called then? On an Android phone browser, I reload the main page to see what's new, click a section like 2.2 or Micro, it goes to a full screen ad i can't do anything with, go back to main, try it again, then it actually lets me into that part. Then it works normally until i stop looking at the board for a while, then some timer decides i need to to do it again.

I know you aren't asking any of us for help with offsetting costs. I've also seen many great places become unuseable because of ads. Some of us like this place and don't want it to become yet another casualty.

Thanks again for running this forum.

No problems at my end.

I also run Adblocker, especially for viewing YT.

And thanks Keith for still running this site
This is the best site for scale rigs, mostly because I've been here so long.

The norwegian scale site is no longer, so this is simply my fix for scale rigs
May be away for some time due my health, but I always comes back.
