BigSki

Cleaned up the north side of the basement

Quite a hunk of iron this old dirt lump crusher is... what to do with it???

Started digging in the NE corner, super moist here, easy digging, this is where I had a 3/4" plywood that the dirt lump crusher conveyed its spoils onto.

Haul the wet dirt over to dump in the deep pit in the SE corner

Gonna start digging around the pit soon, using a hand drill with a 1/2" bit, drilled holes into the rock hard clay so I could rip & dig a trench for water soaking.

Rain showers in the SW corner too start digging here again soon.

Had a lil blow out with the left track drive last Friday, bout killed me to carry that heavy bytch all the way back up to the shop for repairs... broke an ear off on one side of the dog clutch, somehow caused a total lock up & smoked the motor in mere seconds... fortunately I got all spare parts in inventory, rebuilt the track drive yesterday.

After having spent much of the wkend flat on my back from carrying that JD850 to the workshop, start building a lowboy today for the 4206 to pull to haul it back.

Just about done... wire up the motors & make removable side rails tomorrow, then video time taking the JD850 back to the pit.

I'm sitting on it, 215lbs, very stable & nothing bent.

Lowboy works awesome... need more practice side loading, a little scary the first time. I added 1/2 inch steel angle on the edges so equipment can't slide off in transport, they're bolted on, take them off in the future to load/unload.

Coolest mobility scooter ever hehe. Nice work as always.

When you said the edges are bolted down, thought went through my head and wondered if you could use some kind of pins or spring toggles, or maybe even a sliding lock plate so you can remove and refit the edges easily without tools? Probably doesn't matter but just a thought.

Great suggestions 2redrovers, thanx for your input ...got me thinking what you said of 'slide locks' and so I did this... quick - simple - just need to use a little care not catch the bolts with the tracks & break them off. I loaded up the JD850 easily in a couple minutes with no worries of tipping.

A quick bit of kit from Fumotec to put together... had to epoxy one piece into place, everything else bolts together.

Last December I run about a cubic yard through the mini crusher, what comes from the big crusher is about 3/8, lil crusher takes it down to 1/8 minus. But with all the fines in it too, it really slows capacity.

citibank branch locations near me

That's awesome, looks like it's doing nicely at separating fines out

Glad its working better than the one you tried a few years ago.

I dunno, apparently i lost my mind. I could have sworn there was some guy digging a crawlspace with toys, that was playing around few years ago with prototyping some screening buckets that didn't work well enough...

The home made version works very well frizzen, I've put a lot of material through it already, 10 cu yd or more... bottom vid, the cage was made from 1/2 steel square tube, very heavy without dirt in it; top vid, I remade the cage from 1/2 aluminum square rod, weighs less full of dirt than the steel cage did empty!

Activity last fall till xmas

This Fumotec screener fits on my lil JD450 hoe (490 Komatsu kit), it's about a 1/3 or less in screen length; the motor is quite a bit smaller, less power, less rpm... sent Frank an email yesterday to ask if he's ever had a dud motor before cause the rpm is erratic with dirt in it. The Fumotec screener is prototypical of what's on the market today & more often than not it seems, performance takes a backseat to keep it visually scale accurate... I hope it's just a dud motor issue.

Getting some digging done, time for some more "soaking on the north side.

Work on the south side for a while

Lots of hauling to the surface to do now.

-27C this morning Got a B train coming today for brown mustard, hope my auger starts.

My utube channel got mentioned on some one's "stream" last Sunday, picked up 3400 subs & 600K views in the last week... utube kicked me out of their "Partnership Program" a yr ago b/c I didn't meet one of their requirements, 4000 watch hrs/year... they didn't pay me the $1100usd in ad revenue I built up either... probably missed out on another grand or more this week... my channel is on several news sites & blogs again last week, everybody making money off my hobby & I've never made a cent!

Did some digging & hauling yesterday, filled up the X4 HiTec charger in just a couple hrs.

Now I have maxed out my Data for this month, 4 days before the next reset.
