hmmm you actually gave me an idea. the only problem is you would need to have another channel free in order to pull this off and lone behold i have another channel and a mini servo. might have to try somehting like this on my beater hilux body.

Dont forget that mud trucks need wheel speed over torque.. a 27t works pretty good in the mud..

I dont know what kinda mud you have. but the mud around here will just stall your 27 turn motor. what you need is a 55T lathe and 3s lipo.. that will give you the best of both worlds torque and speed..

A 1:1 wiper system uses a motor that spins constantly. If you replicate the linkage, a micro servo modded like a winch would work fine.

I just started a mudder too.

55 turn and a lipo huh sounds like a great combo but im not sure I would wanna run lipos in a mud truck.. And I've never had problems runnin a 27t in the mud.. Maybe we have high quality mud in Michigan.

i have seen some people use a tupperware container and just silicone the top on and drill a hole for the wires and silicone that. i almost bought this lil waterproof box i seen the other day it was for your i-pod, you put it in there and if you go fishing or your on in your boat and you drop it overboard it was waterproof and it floated, i think that would have worked. i am trying to find time to waterproof mine right now between working on the 1:1 fj40 landcruiser and finishing my lunchbox build.
