Got my Shapeways order the other day.

and it is now all smurfed up!

Fitment was good but had some problems with the transfer case. Somehow bearings wouldn't fit on the other half and as I measured the hole it was about 0,5mm too small. I don't know what caused this but I got it fixed and it is good now. I checked the cad model and it was as it should be. Maybe I should have contacted Shapeways before modifying parts.

Some progress has been done. New aluminium frame that supports the body, traction bars and a battery box. Also got the new Jconcepts tires and wheels.

This really gives me the inspiration to build a monster truck.

Seriously Fantastic.
It all comes together so wonderful and looks the part.
Body , chassis, Tires to the shocks..
Very, very, very well done.
Now that you have my attention and huge drool and want....More please.

Thanks everybody!

I have now new bumpers and lights for the roof. I need to make a new bracket for the front bumper and I'm going to attach it to the frame. That way I should get the tilting hood working.

Thanks! I use Gens Ace lipos. Battery box was designed for 2s saddle pack but with proper cell foam spacers shorty pack would fit too.

Thanks! Too much other stuff going on right now, so can't really focus on hobbies. But it will get done one day.

Thanks! The more shocks the better. I think I could fit four on each corner easily. Leaf springs are so stiff that I don't need to use springs inside the shocks. They are just for looks.
