Very much so.

Nikkie, you might want to have a look around at how people have been fitting gear reduction units (gru) to CC01. CC's have quite tall gearing to start with, so with the big old Flat Irons pushing the gearing up higher you might find that you will be lacking low speed torque and control. See how it goes first though!

... and welcome to Scale4x4

thanks guys. i just ordered a set of duratrax vendetta ST rear shocks and white springs for the front of what i am now gonna call orange crush (pearl white as first color then gone over with comp orange when it comes) since the ST shocks are 78mm long uncompressed so i can raise the front up 6mm. when i build the chassis with the stock wheels and tires, i am going to decide where i'll trim. the rear shocks for now will be left stock and positioned on the upper mount holes on the axle until i get my real car running again..blew a head gasket on thanksgiving. but i'm looking at RC4WD at a set of 80mm dual spring crawler shocks and a 45t motor. wanna keep some speed but gain tons of torque. the GRU will come later.

how i want it to look..well as close to as i can get.

i have a set of 90mm dual shocks and thought they were to stiff, but that might be fine depending on how heavy your rig is going to be. i like mini crawler shocks, they have more of a scale look to them. rustler shocks work good in the rear, ive done that also

Awesome pics!!! This build is amazing! I've got some athlete's foot to attend to. When I get back, I expect pictures. Preferably of some bouncers on the hood of anything that resembles a scaler!

What I found with the Flat irons was, on a sideways drop-off, the Pajero becomes a little top heavy. And with my suspension setup, the drop-link and the super soft front shocks, she wobbles around like a Hippo. I switched to Losi mini crawler tires, but the Flat irons was definitely more fun.
