Default Looking for an odd size body...

RC body of course, for my DF-02 which looking up specs has a 10.11" WB and 9.8" width.
I've been looking for a Parma beetle body but most likely a no go.
Trying to do something full width but hard to find bosies that short and even close to that width.
Any suggestions welcome, or offers on the DF-02...

You got a pretty tough little car, and quite versatile.

The wheelbase is the typical touring car measurement. Personally, if it were mine, I'd probably research it and find the parts to make it an on-road car. Since it's yours, you could maybe find a stadium truck body that would fit or maybe a Sand Rover dune buggy body. It may be possible to find an 1/8 scale rally body that would work. I'd like see how this pans out.

Ha, yep, it is more or less an on-roader now with Pro-Line 2.2 beadlocks and Dirt Hawg tires.
Although if I find a suitable body I'll probably swap out wheels to something else.
I was thinking maybe a Bullhead body and shortening the rear.

I just came across this:

I had been on the look out for a Parma beetle body but none to be found.

might be a bit off for your chassis...

your chassis...
wheelbase: 10.11" = 256.794mm
width: 9.8" = 248.92

bug body advertised dimensions...
wheelbase: 260mm
width: 200mm

wheelbase is pretty close.. only 3.5mm (+/-) difference, but the width is quite a bit different.

Yeah, i don't think I'm going to readily find something to match WB and width so I'll go with the WB. Should be able to fudge 3.5mm easily enough...
As for the width, the insides of the tires should be just about under the wheel wells. If they hit I'll 86 the fenders.

So I bought the body a bit ago and got around to it the past few days. Looks decent, I'm happy with it. Still a couple more things to do and I'll post a pic.

Good to hear you found a body.

Kyosho cars of 90s were wide, think the Escort Cosworth on the Rampage chassis was either 235 or 245 wide.
Think most of them had a wb of 270 tho'
