Excellent progress...

I like those rims. They look good under the truck. I always like light colored rims with bright metallics and black. Should look really good.

Yes I am still debating on what color to go with, been looking at maybe going with a light light gray and some King shocks from RC4WD, that will set the tone for the rest of the build. Not set in stone yet....

Just equipped my wheels with some scale hardware from @locked up . Great product and the shipping was quick, even to out here in the middle of nowhere....lol. We are now under lockdown so hopefully I will be motivated to move forward and get this thing done. I may be keeping the postman busy😁

Well since I am in construction we are considered "essential" so I will be returning to work. I was hoping to get some extra time in with this project but hey we gotta do what we gotta do. I work for a great local company so I will do what is necessary. Thanks for the interest, and to everyone please stay safe.

Just got finished watching the live stream and captured this shot. Figured I would throw it up here as an update to the build. Picked up some King shocks from RC4WD and they look right at home in the fender wells. I love dual shocks on my trucks so decided to throw in some older turned down TLT shocks that I had from back in the day....I think the combo will work. Also picked up a link set made by Team Raffe from Ohana RC, which is my LHS. Thanks guys👍 Did the old Easy Off trick to take off the anodizing and added some conical washers I picked up off Ebay to match the King shocks just to keep with the color theme. Still got a ways to go but keeping it movin......Thanks for looking.

Did a little bit of work to the rig, been thinking about this hood for a bit and decided to put it on. Didn't want to just place it, wanted it to look molded into the existing hood so I got to work....

Sorry for the lack of updates, been a long week with work and all. Things are starting to open up and I don't agree with it but we will see what happens.

Onto the uodates, it did take a bit of sanding but not too bad. The shaping came out good, main thing is that I got rid of the transition area and now it looks a little more molded. May hit it with some putty before any color is applied.

Also got started on some sliders. Decided to go with solid 3/16" square rod and shape the profiles that i was looking for. These will be beefy and they do have some weight to them. Just wanted to keep them simple, may even add a little body armor along the rockers.

I like the cage. It's distinctive and sets it apart from the normal round stock roll cages. Spraying it with Rhino Liner would look bad-***!
