I did find that having the physical parts made a difference when machining, just so i could fit and test while still in the machine and just make adjustments from there. Just my personal input, I don't know what size motor that you plan to go with, but a 6mm can with a huge gear reduction kept stalling for me, so I would recommend going to at least 8mm with a sturdy gearbox to keep from future breaks and stalling issues. just my 2 cents....
Thanks! It's actually an 8mm can from Dasmikro with a gear reduction box. I just didn't feel like modeling up the gearbox. The gears I bought had "measurements" on the sale page but the measurements they are showing are a little off from what your gears are, so either they are wrong (which is a strong possibility) or the gears I got are a little different.
