yeah, updates? That is some insane craftsmanship. I am impressed with your design and machining skills. I am just starting out learning to work a mill, and lathe. I am finding it to be pretty hard. The guys in the fabrication shop at my job are teaching me.

thanks you all for kind words

No, I don't have significant updates.... I'm still improving axle design to make it more reliable and stronger
I especially work on the difflock and suspension-links anchors

Good thing you are learning machining Tom, you won't regret it !

Hey all !

A few news about the slowest build (and builder) ...

I received a new toy (sieg SX1 long table, travels x330 y145)

Thanks to the mill I've been able to make perfectly scaled wheel nuts

78 remaining to do

I also made a new differential more "mechanically correct", and stonger than previous one, I also find it nicer .... even if we'll not see it on the finished truck
also notice that I machined savage diff gears, they are made out fo a very very hard steel (maybe better to grind it)

one of the two parts of the difflock (made out of improved usinability steel)

Thanks for looking
Alex

You are milling your own lug nuts!! This has got to be one of the most scale builds I have ever seen

In a few years when this is done I am going to go crazy with envy

Hey, congrats for your new toy!

This may be a slow build, right. But its definitely worth waiting for your detailled bits and pieces!

Making so many nuts by hand can make you... Go nuts?...

Impressive work! I wouldn't ever had the patience for going this far...

Hey all

I just wanted to show you a finished rear hub, it works very smooth.
Everything is bushed (no glue) so that it should undergo the powder coating without problem

It will be enought scaled for me once the inflating system will be fitted

As shown it weighs 170 gramms and 480 gramms with 2 wheels, it means a rear axle will be over 1Kg... 700 gramms for the front ones... I let you imagine...
