Welcome to the forum Andy

Your best bet for the donor RC would be a Losi micro crawler...

Here are a few multi axle builds I did using the Losi micro:

it can be expensive if you are trying to do a multi axle build. however if you are patient you can grab them for less than $70. Sometimes you can find a pair of axles alone on ebay for $45 ish but that is JUST the axles no wheels ect ect. for the $$ i would rather buy a whole crawler and have spare parts. the ESC/RX combo alone is worth the difference in price

You can use standard wheels by epoxing the losi hexs to your semi wheel or you can cut a notch for the pin on your semi wheels if they are made right...I like going the hex route cause it gets the trackwidth just right & its stronger IMO..

Those micro t's might be a bit narrow for your rig & they are independant suspension all the way around 2wd with motor on the rear gear box/axle...

I would look for 2nd hand micro crawlers on E-bay...

They can go for fairly cheap just scored one at noon for a great price

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

That was the buy it now price

chevy is the micro and ebay bargin king! haha
I check ebay daily for deals and never see micros for that price. I still have yet to see a RSMC for less than 80 shipped and have never seen the 1/20 F1 Drivers under $25

They, like everything is really expensive on our UK eBay! Your best bet to get cheap is to look at ebay.com and get it from the US. I get the majority of my parts from the US and even with the higher postage i still save money. Just remember the customs charge and how to get round it!!

Some months ago I have started my projetc with an Italeri volvo FH.

Post some pics up so we can see the problems you are having with the steering, then maybe we can give you some diffrent ideas on how to go about it.
